Shelby Grossman

Shelby Grossman is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Memphis. She is teaching a masters-level seminar on democratic erosion in fall 2017, and an undergraduate-level class in spring 2018. Shelby’s work focuses on the political economy of development, looking at the politics of informal trade in Nigeria. She holds a Ph.D. in political science from Harvard. Her work has been published in Comparative Political Studies and World Development.
